Learning Disabilites & Challenges

Children want to do well in school. And as parents we want them to succeed. Sometimes there are obstacles, though. We need to identify those obstacles, to find out why children are struggling.

Sometimes the obstacles are simple and easy to identify. Perhaps your child cannot see the board or hear the teacher. Maybe she needs a little extra time. Removing these barriers is easy and straightforward.

Often, though, the barriers are complicated. Children may have learning disabilities, social problems, or other issues that make learning difficult. The first step is to determine how your child thinks and learns best. Then we build on those strengths to develop a pattern of success. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? But you know it’s not. It will require hard work and time. The good news is that there are many approaches we can take to make learning happen. Let’s talk about what might work for your child.

Don't know where to start? Let's Talk!
